Il Farneto Spergle IGT 2022 Organic Wine

The white grape variety Spergola is a traditional variety from Emilia-Romagna, known for its delicate floral aromas. When partially fermented on the skins, as is customary for orange wines, such as Il Farneto Spergle IGT, spicy notes and aromas of orange peel are added. The organic winery Il Farneto cultivates 10 hectares of vineyards, beautifully situated between the unique gorges and forests of Emilia-Romagna.

The grapes for the Spergle are harvested by hand, and this wonderful natural wine from Italy is aged in cement tanks for at least 6 months.

In the glass, it displays a bright golden yellow colour with copper-coloured reflections. On the nose, it has a delicate, fresh aroma with citrus notes – lemon, orange and floral notes: meadow flowers and jasmine. On the palate, it is beautifully dry with a pleasant freshness and minerality, with a soft and slightly tannic finish.
