Burja Grasica 2023 organic wine

Primoz Lavrencic's Burja Grasica is the first Welschriesling from the Demeter-certified winery in Slovenia's Vipava Valley. Primoz Lavrencic produces an excellent selection of natural and orange wines.
The grapes for Grasica come from a young vineyard on the estate, with vines aged between 5 and 10 years. The best quality is achieved through hand harvesting and a very low yield of only 1 kg per vine. Like all wines from the winery, Grasica is an unfiltered natural wine. The wine spends 10 days on the skins and matures for 12 months in oak barrels.

The colour is a rich golden yellow with orange reflections. The nose offers rich aromas of apples, pome fruit, especially peach, and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is juicy, mineral, intense and full. So different from a classic Welschriesling and yet so good.
