The Angel Belo from the Batic Winery in the Vipava Valley in Slovenia is no ordinary white wine, nor is it intended for everyday enjoyment. It is a very special wine for very special occasions.

A white wine, an orange wine for red wine drinkers. Full-bodied and robust. Ripe yellow fruits, caramel, butter and apples are just some of the aromas. A hint of quince, a touch of smoke, a hint of vanilla. On the palate, lovely fruit, moderate, ripe acidity and an extraordinary elegance in both the nose and the flavour. One wonders: can this wine experience be compared to anything familiar? The answer: No, hardly. To find such depth, opulence and a long-lasting aromatic structure in a white wine from this still-young vintage seems impossible.
