A unique Vermentino from Sardinia

The Sella & Mosca La Cala Vermentino is a wonderful example of the fruit and freshness that the Vermentino grape variety can develop in Sardinia. The expansion in stainless steel tanks increases the lightness and makes the white wine a particularly pleasant pleasure. Due to the location of the Sella & Mosca winery in northern Sardinia and the associated somewhat cooler climate, the white wines can mature a little longer and are harvested a little later than in the south of the island.

In addition to the fruitiness, the salty notes and the spicy aromas of the macchia are a special feature of the Vermentino grape variety. The combination of mistral winds and the maritime climate of Sardinia influence the development of these distinctive white wine aromas.

In the glass, La Cala Vermentino is a light straw yellow. Varietal aromas of citrus fruits, mango, lychee and pineapple on the nose. In addition, we take the described salty notes and hints of Mediterranean herbs
