Mirto di Sardegna rosso, made according to an old traditional Sardinian recipe. Only hand-picked myrtle berries from wild myrtle bushes are used in the liqueur from Distilleria RAU. The bushes for the Mirto grow in the untouched forests of Sardinia and are only harvested by hand when they are fully ripe.
The name “Mirto di Sardegna” of Mirto can only be used if it has been produced without any preservatives, flavorings, colorings or other additives. It is said to have a digestive effect, which is why it is preferably drunk as a digestif. But it is also a discovery as an aperitif. Serve it ice-cold, also with dessert or with an espresso. In addition to a fruity sweetness, the Mirto has an ethereal, tart note that makes it so unique and popular.
