Tokai Friulano, a top white wine from Brda

The Tokaj Friulano (also Sauvignonsasse or green Sauvignon) is one of the oldest and most widely grown varieties in the Goriška Brda region and also in Friuli Venezia Giulia across the border. In Goriška Brda, it is usually grown on medium and low altitudes, which gives the white wines a voluminous structure and rich aromas. The intense minerality is characteristic of wines from this region.

Edi Simcic's Tokata is aged for about 10 months in French barriques.

It is golden yellow in color. The nose is rich in aromas. Characterized by citrus notes, white peach, some wood and vanilla. The minerality and the power of the white wine emerge on the palate. Here he shows us his full potential and the potential of the variety. The finish is long, with a hint of almond.
