Red wine cuvée made from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc

Bordeaux meets Slovenia. The grapes for the Duet Lex red wine cuvée by Edi Simcic go through a 14-day maceration after careful selection and hand-picking and mature in oak barrels for 36-42 months. The Duet Lex reflects the soil and the Goriska Brda region in a fascinating way. It has a unique minerality and elegance. 80% Merlot and 10% each of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc combine to create something great.

The first thing we immediately see is the engaging ruby red of the red wine in the glass. It's complex on the nose. Fruity cherry aromas, cassis and plums emerge. Framed by spicy cedar wood, thyme, laurel and mocha. This play of aromas and the pleasant feeling on the palate make it an excellent red wine. It is demanding and engaging, but never too voluminous or powerful. The long finish is the icing on the cake of this red wine from Slovenia. Unbelievable good!
