The Cannonau comes from the limestone and clayey hills around Mogoro. After a maceration of 15 days and a short episode in steel tanks, it matures for at least 12 months in French barriques and larger oak barrels. For that special touch, part of the Cannonau is also put into chestnut barrels before the wine is finally brought together. This elaborate production awakens the full aromatic diversity of Cannonau.
Intense ruby red in the glass with violet reflections that turn to garnet over time. Ripe red fruit aromas including cherry and blackberry. Herbal notes are added, rounded off by floral notes. In the mouth it shows its fullness and structure. Velvety, fine acids. Tobacco becomes recognizable, chocolate and a hint of balsamic vinegar. The tannin is also perfectly integrated.
A special red wine for special occasions.
