Full of character, unique - influenced by the moon

The white grape variety Pinela comes from the border area between Slovenia and Italy near Nova Gorica (Gorizia). It was mentioned as early as 1324 in the “Catalog of the Veneto Region Grape Varieties”.

The five-day fermentation takes place spontaneously with the natural yeasts from the vineyard and at an uncontrolled temperature. Miha Batic trusts nature, trusts wine and has the sensitivity and experience necessary for this natural process. The spontaneous fermentation is followed by two years of aging in barrique barrels made from Slovenian oak. The bottle is filled at new moon.

It shows fine aromas, the scent ripe fruits (peach, apricot), a subtle note of vanilla and sun-kissed grapes. It immediately warms your heart. The taste is soft, spicy, mineral, unique and with a wonderful resin note. The Pinela perfectly reflects the terroir and the winemaking art of the Batic family.

It has a strong character, which is why it goes very well with dishes that are usually accompanied by a red wine.
