Luca Anselmi owns some of the oldest vines in eastern Valpolicella, some of which are over 80 years old. The vines grow on a flat hillside at an altitude of about 250 metres.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCareful selection of the fully ripe grapes by hand and a further two rounds of sorting during the three-month drying process ensure that only the best grapes are used to make an exceptional wine. During the drying process, the grapes lose about a third of their water content.\nThe vinification with gentle treatment of the skins and the subsequent maturation for 24 months in French oak barrels result in an exclusive Amarone with a ruby red texture and violet reflections.\n\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn the nose, a veritable flood of aromas of red fruits, such as cherries and plums, accompanied by spicy notes, such as sandalwood, light floral notes and dark chocolate. Wonderfully dense and enveloping on the palate, with fine tannins and a full-bodied character.
